Angus Cameron

Clinical Associate Professor and Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry

Angus Cameron is one of the foremost paediatric dentists in Australia.  He worked at Westmead Hospital for over 30 years and was the first to graduate in NSW as a specialist in paediatric dentistry.  He has worked in both public and private sectors being head of the Department of Paediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics at Westmead for the over 18 years.  He was also a Visiting Senior Specialist at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and also headed the University of Sydney discipline of Paediatric Dentistry.

Clinical interests

Angus’ areas of interest are the management of paediatric dental trauma, dental and oro-facial anomalies, and paediatric oral medicine and pathology, and he has a particular interest in those children with special needs. Angus also runs a clinic specialising in infant feeding and tongue ties at Sydney Tongue Tie Clinic.

Teaching 
Angus holds a number of clinical academic titles including Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney, the University of Newcastle, Conjoint Associate Professor at Charles Sturt University and he has been a visiting A/Professor at the University of Leeds.

Angus has lectured extensively in Australia and internationally. He is the co-editor of the Handbook of Pediatric Dentistry soon to be published in its 5th edition and translated into 7 languages. He has contributed chapters in 7 other text books.

Memberships and Affiliations
Angus is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in England (FDSRCS), the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS), International College of Dentists (FICD), the Academy of Dentistry International (FADI) and the Pierre Fauchard Academy (FPFA). He is a Member of the RACDS in Paediatric Dentistry and the Australian Dental Association.

Patients of can access the his expertise at a number of locations in Sydney and the Central Coast of NSW at the Sydney Specialist Tongue Tie Clinic, Little Smiles Family Dental, Central Coast Orthodontics, and Ourimbah Oral Health University Clinic (Please note that this location is not currently being used).
